Votorantim adopted ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) standards even before the term was created. Our strategy is guided by the continuous promotion of ESG themes in line with our portfolio companies business strategies and at the holding level, and the commitment to transparency.

As an engaged investor, our job is to set the standard, working alongside the boards of companies in our portfolio to ensure that they are aligned regarding environmental, social and governance sustainability.

Through our governance principles we preserve and encourage our companies’ autonomy to define its own strategy, set carbon reduction goals and other environmental targets according to its needs and capabilities. In this context, Votorantim has three objectives through its consistent participation:

Follow the incorporation of ESG criteria into decisions regarding new investments and in the evaluation of the portfolio companies, while also monitoring social, environmental, governance, and reputation risks from Votorantim’s perspective.

Report

Communicate transparently and consistently about ESG initiatives undertaken by Votorantim and the portfolio companies.
